Assign User

Assign User links an employee to a shop as either a Staff or an Owner.

The shop must already exist (see Shop), and the employee must already be created with a Staff or Owner role assigned to them — only employees who already have that role show up in the matching dropdown below.

Open Business → Staff & Partners → Assign User

Shows every user assigned to a shop so far.

Click + Assign User and fill in the details

Field	Required?	What to enter
Shop	Yes	The shop this assignment applies to — pick this first
Select Staff User	No	Pick from employees who already have the Staff role assigned
Select Owner	No	Pick from employees who already have the Owner role assigned
Percentage	No	Only relevant when assigning an Owner — their ownership percentage in the company, e.g. enter `10` for a 10% ownership

Save with Assign User, or Clear Form to reset the fields without closing.

Assigning a staff user to a shop here is what gives that user access to the shop after logging in — they’ll only see data for the shop(s) they’ve been assigned to. A staff user who hasn’t been assigned to any shop yet will get no access after logging in, and just sees an informational message instead.
